Professor Claire Wade at the University of
Sydney is an internationally renowned expert in the field of canine
genetics and genomics. She has held a full professor position since 2009.
She has more than 120 publications in international journals and more than
22,000 citations placing her in the top 10% of canine scientists globally
Claire played a pivotal role in the Canine
Genome Project. Since moving back to Australia, she has helped a number of breeds develop genetic tests for important
disorders.
Along with the Working Kelpie Council, we
have worked on better understanding the genetic attributes of the best
livestock herding dogs.
